Today I got new haircut and I am totally happy with it!!
YAYS!
I had been growing it out for the upcoming wedding, but today I woke up and decided it needed to be chopped off lol. It had just become too much to handle with the intense heat and humidity down here - ugh. And actually, I think I should have cut it off earlier! It looks awesome and feels great!! I am so happy!!

So today I thought I would try an animation and see how it looks on my blog…

…and after searching and searching for a good plugin for flash files, I finally did it!So this is Two-Bitt, my creation and work-in-progress since 8th grade lol. Over the years I have written many stories about him and his other bug friends - I always wanted to do a children’s book about him, but I didn’t know where to start…..soooooo last year I decided to work on a website for him and his friends - going to be a children’s site about the adventures of Two-Bitt, drawn and animated in Flash. However, just recently, I can’t log on to the site anymore!! Either my username or password is wrong and I have no idea what it is!! eeeeeek! It is so bizarre…I have not changed either thing since I first put the site up and now, all of a sudden, it’s changed….grrrr and the stupid hosting company will not write me back…..*sigh*
I guess for now all my content for the site will be shown on here, and stored on the computer till I get access to the website again.Of course I am always learning how to do things more efficiently in Flash and how to make better animations, but this is a start! hehe

Okey dokey, off to make more art!!

Oopsy! It’s been a while since I last posted!

And oh my, lots of things have been going on. I have become addicted to this site called StyleHive - it is FILLED with goodies of all sorts!! From funky furniture and whimsical jewelry, to unique pieces of artwork and design. It basically is just a bookmarking site, but with a twist - you get “style” points for having your bookmarks re-booked. I have found so many things I cannot afford but want lol and the list just keeps getting bigger! One day, I will have the funkiest house and the craziest jewelry collection!! (after I win the lottery that is lol). I have found some awesome things for the puppies too, like some awesome day beds hehe.
You should totally check it out - it’s amazing what you can find!! And it’s a huge Etsy supporter too - sooo many links to Etsy crafters. I have a link to my “Hive” here on my blog (it shows some of the things I have bookmarked).

So yah, that site has been a real time waster the past few weeks lol and sadly I have only completed one new drawing. It is the second illustration for the Outer-space theme, and I am quite proud of it! Although knowing me, I will end up tweaking it till I have to print it - it the is perfectionist in me.

I have also been checking out other blogs from artists that I admire - like michelle my belle from the amazing artist Michelle Allen, and Kitty Genius from etsy star Ashley Goldberg.
Michelle has some great links that have inspired me to write more and have given me some ideas that will help market my art! Plus her artwork is AMAZING!! I absolutely LOVE her work!! lol my first goal actually with selling my art, is to make enough to buy one of her funky clocks (the big red kettle clock would be perfect for the kitchen *big smile*).
Ashley has had huge success on etsy and is my online artist idol. She never really thought that she would be making a living off her own artwork, but she is!! Her story to becoming a well-known artist is so interesting and gives me hope that one day I will become successful like her. Ashley’s blogs are also very fun to read and I love seeing her posts with new drawings/painting. I check up on her blog daily hehe

Also, through Michelle’s blog I came across this awesome blogging site called Delightful Blogs (Michelle Allen is featured on the site). It has a ton of very cool blogs and I have spent many an hour looking at some - especially the ones under the “Art” category. I think that once I get this blog established and have my work on etsy, I will submit this site *fingers crossed* Yet another goal, but nothing too extreme…actually, quite doable I think!! lol

One blog that I really enjoyed looking at was Non dairy Diary - it is half in English and half in french (lol woot! get to test those french skills). Delphine Doreau is the artist, and her work is so adorable! She also does little animations, which is totally cool cause I play with animating my artwork too (in flash)….soo I might end up trying to post some little animations on here as well - if time permits lol. I also copied her fun little calender animation - she didn’t make it, but it is definitely the cutest one on the mystery animal site. And I think I will make a little copyright picture on my blog as well, just in case.
